Constructed in 1889, Occidental Lofts is an Edwardian Classical masonry building which originally housed the Occidental Hotel and was redeveloped in 1913 to a larger-four storey hotel. A home, workplace, and lodging to so many throughout the years, this heritage structure will be renovated into a contemporary mixed-use residence with a total of seven residential units and four of them as loft suites. Materials from the original building will be refurbished and reused where possible and all elements of the original façade will be upgraded while maintaining the heritage features that define the building. Occidental Lofts features a ground-level CRU and a communal roof terrace overlooking the nearby Fraser River.
