John Stivanakis joined Kindred Construction as a Project Superintendent at the beginning of 2008. John brings with him extensive experience in the construction of single-family residence and townhouse complexes, as well as restaurant and spa construction. John also has a degree from BCIT in Electrical Engineering and has used these talents to specialize in security engineering.

John Stivanakis is the newest addition to Kindred’s team of site superintendents. John’s first foray into the construction industry was electrical engineering, for which he obtained a degree from BCIT. However, he found that his work as a security systems engineer was somewhat limiting and decided that managing complete construction projects was a more challenging and satisfying alternative. In 1997 he began his career as a site superintendent with a company specializing in the construction of single family homes.

After gaining considerable experience in this market sector, John longed for greater challenges, and in 2005 made the transition to building multi-unit residential and mixed-use development projects. His methodical planning and organization skills, as well as the strong rapport he has developed with many of Vancouver’s top trade contractors makes him a great asset to Kindred and to our clients.
