Three years ago, the head coach conjured the pipe dream of a 12,500-square foot indoor training facility for Thunderbirds baseball, went to the administration with his proposal then spent much of the following year wondering if those same administrators might not only kill his dream but his entire program.
Kitsilano Neighbourhood House hosted their inaugural fundraiser “Kits House of Fun” in their newly completed buildings on November 6th 2014. The fundraiser was a great success featuring live music, tours through the building’s amazing spaces and a silent and live auction. The guests enjoyed listening as Simi Sara spoke with some volunteers and residents of Kits House, followed by a live improv comedy show courtesy of Theatre Sports League Vancouver.
As the Construction Manager for Kits House and Gold Sponsor of the fundraiser, Kindred Construction is so pleased to have a share in this wonderful project providing such needed services for our local community.
Congratulations to all who worked so hard to make this project a glowing success in our neighbourhood!
